Our Piccabeen Bookshop is well stocked to tempt all readers with books that are just right for the cosy cool evenings ahead.

The funds generated by this shop are crucial in supporting our work financially. Our volunteer staff are very friendly: do drop in to say hello and buy a book or two.

National Tree Day 29 July
Join us to plant a tree!
Icon for Save Trees message

On National Tree Day, right across Australia, people who care for our precious, often threatened, natural environments come together to plant trees and celebrate our forests, parks and wild places. Here on Tamborine Mountain we'll be doing our bit too at our major tree planting event for the year.

When: Sunday 29th July, 9:00am - 11:00am
Where: Guanaba Park, Siganto Rd, Tamborine Mountain
Bring:  drinking water, hat, gloves, sturdy shoes

Landcare will provide tools and morning tea.

Guanaba Park is a family-friendly place, so that young and old (and those in-between!) can join in the planting of 300 trees and shrubs. Visitors are very welcome.

So do come along, bring a friend or neighbour, lend a hand, enjoy a morning's easy work and catch up with your fellow Landcare members. And at the end of the morning, you'll know the satisfaction of having helped plant lots of native trees as habitat for our wildlife.

We hope to see you there.

Our Piccabeen Bookshop needs you!

All proceeds from our well-stocked bookshop contribute directly to our rainforest restoration work, enabling us to buy trees and other supplies to supplement funds we get from grants.

The bookshop, down the lane beside the health food shop and to the left, has lots of bargain books for great reading - just the thing to curl up with on a cold winter's evening.

We urge all Landcare members to browse and buy - and chat with our friendly volunteer staff.

Let your friends and neighbours know about this hidden gem of a bookshop and the great work it helps us do.
