New Judicial Appointments

We congratulate Judge Syna Dennis and Brenda Robinson, newly appointed Superior Court Judges.

Diversifying the Bench

The presence of minority Judges is crucial. It enhances judicial diversity, which promotes a more inclusive and representative justice system. This diversity can lead to different perspectives and experiences that can shape decision-making, increasing trust in the judicial system. In the event you desire to be a Judge please contact Past President, Felton Newell at felton@feltonnewell.com, who can apprise you of the Unity Bar and other efforts to diversify the bench.

Langston Pledges

Thank you to those who have offered their services and will assist with meeting our pledge of providing free Wills and Powers of Attorney to our community. If you are interested in volunteering your skills and resources to draft free wills or power of attorneys for the community, please contact me, President Tatianna Y. Metters Scurlock at info@langstonbar.org. Please include “Langston 100 Free Wills” in the subject.

Welcome to our new Langston members. We will soon surpass our goal of receiving 100 new members. For those who wish to sow into our Scholarship fund, you may do so by becoming a member/Lifetime member. We welcome you in advance.

Straight out of Compton

Langston and HBCU to Law, Inc. will be offering a unique opportunity to all law and prelaw students who are serious about the practice of law. Students experience courtrooms in action, meet attorneys and judges, and participate in an interactive and fun voir dire exercise led by Judge Kelvin Filer and seasoned attorneys.
