November 2020
Engage. Empower. Elevate.
President's Message
Adapting Without Stopping

Looking back on this year, we have learned a lot of lessons. This year has reminded us why Langston was formed in the first place, which was to address the needs of Black people. In the face of the challenges that we have historically had in this country, we have always found a way to persevere and not be deterred.
This year has been one of the most challenging and important years in our history. Yet, we have demonstrated that we will not allow ourselves to be defeated. We have adapted to deal with the pandemic and continued to serve our community. We have rose to the occasion to address the social injustice that African-Americans have faced by making our mark in this movement. Now in light of the most important election of our lifetime, we did our part so that the community we serve was informed and got out the vote.

We accomplished quite a bit this year. And while our organization has a lot to be proud of, we also know that there is much more that needs to be done. We are well positioned to continue to meet the challenges before us, and we will continue to be the best organization we can be, undaunted.

We have already launched our strategic planning for the new year and I am excited to see what we can do next, together.

Nyanza Shaw, Esq.
