Participation in the EBT replaces our department report on engagement and supports your annual evaluation, freeing up committee time and providing a larger audience for our work. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes. Please send Richard Thompson your syllabus and project descriptions for projects using the shop next semester as soon as possible. Richard wants to coordinate efforts now to ensure that all goes smoothly for you and your students.

Multidisciplinary student teams, including community development, have identiļ¬ed several site options for a Center in Manhattan and an outpost in Junction City that would augment existing services on campus. In the spirit of the project, they invite are holding a public presentation on Monday, Dec. 14 from 7-8:30 pm at Fire Department Headquarters, Lecture Hall 2000 Denison Avenue (north of K-State campus). Associate Professor Blake Belanger will be visiting the University of Arkansas and serving as a guest critic for Dr. Carl Smith's urban design studio on Dec. 8. The studio investigated urban development strategies for an ecologically and culturally sensitive tract of agricultural land that the local planning authority has identified for development. Belanger will join architects and developers on the review panel, charged with providing feedback on design studio outcomes.

The North Central Regional Center for Rural Development ( NCRCRD ) at Michigan State University announced a competition for seed grants aimed at enhancing the ability of Land Grant institutions to positively influence the quality of life in rural areas of the twelve-state North Central region of the United States.
