City of Manhattan staff are preparing an application to form a Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalitionthrough the APA's Planning and Community Health Center grant. the coalition would function in a similar fashion to AHA! Manhattan, where AHA! serves as the community group alongside the more formal Arts and Humanities Advisory Board. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee does not have this counterpart organization. Our department will sign on as a coalition member in support of the application. Please contact Wyatt Thompson,email@example.com, if you are an APA member and have an interest in providing leadership for the coalition.
The APA Quad State Conference will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, October 21-23 with more than 400 members attending from AR, KS, MO, and OK. It's going to be a great conference, and we are excited to have strong participation from student members. Conference planners want to better understand what types of events, sessions and networking opportunities that student APA members want to see at the conference. Please take a few minutes to share your feedback -- fill it out in Google Forms.
If you are interested in attending the conference for FREE, please consider volunteering at the conference. Sign-up now: http://apaquadstate.com/volunteer.
