Pumpkin Carving Campfire

Join Ranger Rudy for an evening filled with one of our favorites—the pumpkin! We’ll spend the evening carving this squash into works of art or horror, depending on your point of view. Please bring your own pumpkin and carving tools if you have them (there will be a few tools to lend). Carving stencils provided.

Field Renovations

at William Payne Sports Park

LARPD is pleased to announce the completion of significant field renovations at William (Bill) Payne Sports Park. Both fields now feature new sod and improved irrigation systems. Field 1 is configured for 46/60 and 50/70 leagues, while Field 2 supports 50/70 and 60/90 leagues. 


“These upgrades were made to enhance flexibility and player experience,” said LARPD Recreation Supervisor Vicki Wiedenfeld. “With the new irrigation system and portable mounds, we can better accommodate various leagues and maintain William Payne Sports Park as a top choice for youth baseball.”

Communication Boards Added to Livermore Playgrounds

LARPD, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Livermore and LARPD Foundation, are installing ten Communication Boards across playgrounds in Livermore.


The boards feature a variety of symbols and layouts that aid in expressing needs and emotions while engaging in play. This project underscores the commitment to creating more dynamic playgrounds that cater to families of diverse backgrounds and linguistic preferences.
