Late Drop Deadline: Friday, October 30
Friday, October 30 is the last day to drop an individual course for the Fall 2020 term. During weeks 3-10 of the Fall and Spring terms, undergraduate students have the option to drop an individual course for a grade of "W." This option is more commonly referred to as "late dropping." Students are allowed a total of 4 late drops over the course of an undergraduate degree program. If you would like to use one or more of your four late drops this term, you must meet with an LAS advisor by 4pm on Friday, October 30.

Before meeting with an LAS advisor, please read information about the consequences of a late drop available on the LAS website:

To accommodate students who wish to utilize one or more of their four late drops, the LAS Academic Advising Center offers online drop-in advising between the hours of 8:30-11:30am and 1-4pm. No appointment is necessary.
  • Tuesday, October 27 (General drop-in advising)
  • Thursday, October 29 (Late drops ONLY)
  • Friday, October 30 (Late drops ONLY)

Review the online drop-in advising process and sign-in to the online waiting room.
All first-year students must complete a mandatory appointment with their assigned LAS academic advisor in both the fall and spring terms of their first year in order to be able to register for classes for the next term. First-year students will be contacted via their UIC email with additional information about this requirement; however, students should feel free to make an LAS advising appointment at any point during their first two terms at UIC.
Upcoming LAS Career Development Programs
The Health Professions Forum is a series of educational and networking events designed to offer our UIC undergraduate students an opportunity to network with professionals in health related fields. In an effort to widen the perspective of careers with a bachelor’s degree, we are inviting a number of professionals from diverse specialties and settings such as hospitals, clinics, government, non-profits, business, and more to share paths, perspectives, and best practices. Professionals will also share insights about direct transitions to careers and/or advanced degrees. Check out the upcoming programs:
