Mikaela Selley is the Hispanic Collections and Oral History Collections Archivist at the Houston Metropolitan Research Center (HMRC), part of the Houston Public Library System. She joined HMRC after receiving a Master of Arts in Public History from the University of Houston and has held the position of Hispanic Collections Archivist for six years. During her time at HMRC she has developed partnerships with local college campuses to introduce students to the archives; acquired new collections and oral histories; and curated several exhibits highlighting Houston's Hispanic history. Mikaela is a Houston native raised in the city's East End.
