AMBASSADORS ON THE MOVE

Pfeifer Property Management

105 6th St NE

763-464-9984

The Ambassador group met with Kent and Lynn Pfieifer and their family run business of more than 30 years!

I think most of us know the Pfieifers - Kent's Dad was one of our elementary school teachers back in my day and his Mom was a well-known realtor. Kent is hoping their boys follow in his/Lynns footsteps and enjoy being part of real estate development.

Kent and Lynn build commercial (1/3 of their business) and residential (2/3 of their business) buildings for lease. Right now they are building two units behind the DQ, one with 42 units and one with 22 units. They currently have about 320 tenants all in Wright County. They have 7 staff - 3 in the office and 4 that do property maintenance. They do not manage any other properties than their own. Though they are busy, they enjoy doing this vs being in the corporate world.

Kent and Lynn enjoy what they do, enjoy working with lots of different people and businesses and enjoy working with a variety of communities. Mostly they enjoy giving back and give credit to their success in the relationships that have been built.

NEW MEMBERS 2026

R&M MANUFACTURING

200 Centennial Drive

www.rmmco.com

I am excited to add another manufacturing company to our membership! R&M does precision metal fabrication stamping, welding, assembly, tooling and engineering solutions for customers across a wide variety of industries. It was established in 1969 and currently has 73 employees.

R&M has a hearts and minds approach at the core of their operations - noting that their culture is just as important as the products they make. Every product they make requires a lot of skill, problem-solving and teamwork. Their core values of safety, growth, integrity, service and teamwork guide how they work together and support their employees and serve their customers. They have created a workplace where employees can grow and succeed. They are proud of their team and the work they do! Sounds like a great place to work! Also sounds like a great place to have a Wake-Up Buffalo next year - so stay tuned and we can learn more hands on then!

Thank you R&M for becoming part of the Chamber family.

THE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS ASKING FOR YOUR VOTE OF YES ON THE BALLOT REGARDING MN TRUST LANDS. A BLANK IS CONSIDERED A NO.

By now you should have heard directly from the Minnesota Secure Choice Retirement Program, but wanted to be sure you were aware that there is a website with video to help you enroll your staff: https://securechoice.mn.gov/

Here is the basics of the program:

Businesses are required to register if they have 5 or more employees and do not offer a qualified retirement plan. If you do offer a plan, you need to go on the site and certify your exemption. You must remit payroll data and keep staff information current. This is all explained on the website.

Employees must be at least 18 years old and have worked for you for 180 days. They are enrolled automatically (once you enter their data). They can opt out of the program, but you cannot do it for them.

Here are the dates that you must have your business set up with the program:

50-99 employees - 12/31/2026

25-49 employees - 6/30/2027

10-24 employees - 12/31/2027

5-9 employees - 6/30/2028

For questions call 855-938-1474 or email employerservices@securechoice.mn.gov

BUFFALO COMMUNITY THEATER

THE WEDDING SINGER

Discovery Elementary School Stage

214 1st Ave NE

OCTOBER 29th and 30th, Sunday November 1st

NOVEMBER 6th/7th and Sunday November 8th

Get your tickets https://app.arts-people.com/?show=357152

I already got my tickets do you? Come on out - ask some friends - make a night of it! Support our local community theater who is celebrating 40 years next year!

The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer’s sparkling new score does for the ’80s what Hairspray did for the ’60s. Just say yes to the most romantic musical in twenty years.

It’s 1985, and rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, is New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and, unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.
