Tolerance in Crisis: Forgiveness, Otherness and the Challenged of Psychoanalysis

Sunday, January 11th 2026 at 10:00 - 1:00 pm EST

Online via Zoom

In this three-hour seminar, participants are invited to explore one of today’s most urgent questions: what does it mean to practice tolerance when faced with painful forms of otherness? Drawing on the edited book Tolerance: A Concept in Crisis and the paper Tolerance and Forgiveness: Theoretical and Clinical Perspectives on Coping with Painful Otherness, the seminar examines how tolerance is tested in both clinical settings and everyday life.
