Latest Update on Hurricane Dorian
Relief and Aid Efforts
Early Saturday morning, September 7th, Catholic Charities staff were at the Port of Palm Beach in Riviera Beach welcoming and greeting 1,100 Bahamian evacuees. Staff members distributed Catholic Charities brochures to those who may need services. Those services include: pregnancy care; counseling; basic needs (food); and others. At this time, Catholic Charities is working with partners such as the Emergency Operations Center, American Red Cross,
United Way of Palm Beach County, and the County Division
of Human Services to meet the needs
of the evacuees to our area.

Catholic Charities continues to accept in-kind donations for the Bahamas (see below) . During the Counseling Program's Annual 5K Glow Run at Mirasol Park on Saturday night, Catholic Charities partnered with Cod and Capers Seafood in North Palm Beach. The ever-generous Cod and Capers Family brought out their truck to collect donations to be shipped to the areas most in need.
