As storm season approaches, the City of Long Beach provides sandbag distribution sites for residents to help protect homes and property.

Residents can pick up sandbags at any Long Beach Fire Department neighborhood station. Additional sand and sandbags are available at these locations: ONLY AVAILABLE 24 HOURS BEFORE A BIG STORM 

• Lifeguard Station – 72nd Place & Ocean Boulevard
• Fire Station 7 – 2295 Elm Ave.
• Fire Station 12 – 1199 Artesia Blvd.
• Fire Station 13 – 2475 Adriatic Ave.
• Fire Station 14 – East Paoli Way & East 3rd Street

Important Information:

• Sandbags are available only to Long Beach residents; please bring your ID.
• Residents may pick up a limited number of sandbags.
• Bring your own shovel or tool to fill sandbags.
• Residents needing assistance with filling sandbags can visit the Lifeguard Station at 72nd Place, where extra support is available.
