Establish An "Eat This First" section in your refrigerator to create and plan meals around what you already have and save money by not letting anything go to waste! Place this sign in your fridge to mark an area for food that needs to be eaten soon.

Properly storing produce can help it stay fresh for longer. This may lead to fewer trips to the store and could even help ease your grocery expenses. Try out these tips at home and see if you notice any changes on your grocery bill. Use this sign on your fridge as a friendly reminder when you're putting away your groceries.

Steward your Local Beach at Community Cleanup

Help us keep our beaches clean of litter, protect marine life, and improve human health. Your participation makes a difference!


Clean-up tools will be provided but you can also bring your own. Attendees will enjoy FREE parking for the cleanup.

Repair Broken Items at an LB Fixit Clinic

Do you have a broken item? Don't throw it away—learn how to fix it! Bring your item on Saturday, April 27, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Sports Basement in Long Beach (2100 N. Bellflower Blvd).


While repairs are not guaranteed, our volunteer coaches will help you troubleshoot and attempt to repair your item.


Bring one item per attendee for this free event. Eligible items include:


  • Small appliances
  • Textiles
  • Electronics
  • Jewelry
  • Toys
  • Bicycles
  • & More!
