Do you have confidential documents that need to be shredded? Bring up to 3 boxes* of documents to our next Shred Event!


*Please note that there will be a three-box maximum per car.


Box size cannot exceed 10x12x15 inches. We will return your boxes to you. Reusable boxes are encouraged. Please do not bring bags as they slow down the line.

The 24/7 Mattress Drop Off service offers a sustainable and accessible option for Long Beach residents to dispose of used mattresses 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


Residents can leave their old mattress in a clearly designated space located at 970 W. Chester Place and avoid trips to the landfill and landfill fees.

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE REMINDER

In observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26th , many City of Long Beach facilities will be closed and some services will be impacted.


🧹💨Street Sweeping

There will be no scheduled street sweeping or enforcement of street sweeping violations on Monday, May 26. Street sweeping will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, May 27.


🚗 Parking Enforcement

Read your parking meter: Citywide parking violations, including parking meters, will be enforced on Monday, May 26, unless the meter states “Exempt on Holidays.” The days and hours of enforcement are displayed inside the meters.


🚛 ♻️ Refuse/Recycling 

Refuse and recycling will be collected as scheduled Monday, May 26.
