From the early ‘60s to today, Bob Dylan has forever changed the way music is written, understood, and performed. He and his songs continue to be a major part of the modern music landscape.
The Tambourine Man Band consists of musicians with a pedigree ideal for performing the complex, unique music of Dylan, who won the 2016 Nobel Prize in literature. From anthemic tunes like “Blowing in the Wind” and “The Times They are A-Changin’” the TMB respectfully recreates the message Dylan sought to deliver.
The bond that brought these musicians together to tell his story is their shared respect for Dylan’s groundbreaking songwriting and intriguing musical journey. In the show, they describe his amazing history and contributions to music, all in the voice of Dylan. TMB’s members have played for nationally touring bands like Iron Butterfly, frequented the main stage at the OC Fair, community concerts, and dozens of music halls, authored a book series of music training programs, and managed countless studio and live bands throughout Southern California.
