Message From Your Endorsing Agent

Chaplains, your endorsing team recognizes that more than ever before, the culture is changing rapidly and you serve in uncertain times. In this light, we have developed a new vision, mission statement, and set of goals to accomplish the mission.

Vision

“Chaplains bearing the presence and message of Christ everywhere”

Mission

Recruit, endorse, and send out Bible believing chaplains to make disciples and provide spiritual care in military, healthcare, prison, and community settings.

Goals

1. Recruit : Bible believing, godly men who are called by the Holy Spirit to chaplaincy.

2. Endorse : Chaplains for Army, Navy, Air Force, Healthcare, Prison, and Community settings.

3. Chaplain Care: Provided to LBF chaplains 24/7 through endorser visits, phone and email.

4. Accountability : Provided for LBF chaplains and employers.

5. Training : Provided through Pre-Refuel/Refuel Conference and LBF Newsletter.

6. Community : Provided through Refuel, LBF Webpage, Facebook, and Newsletter.

7. Publicity : Provided to inform LCN Churches and all interested in LBF chaplain ministry.

Over the next months your endorsing team (Dr Steve Keith, Dr Keith Travis, and Jessica Tipton) will be seeking to contact you by phone to get to know you better so we can best meet your ministry needs and concerns. It is our desire to know your struggles and successes and to pray and rejoice with you. As many of you will note that we have already begun this new effort and have enjoyed learning more extensively about your ministries and challenges.

Still further, it is our goal to visit several of you over the next year. Last month I was able to visit with three of our Navy chaplains in Norfolk, Lt Commander Richard Smothers, Lt Jeremy Selitto, and Lt Mike Wise. I was blessed beyond measure as I visited their respective ministry environments aboard the USS John Warner submarine, Carrier Air Wing Seven, and Surface Force Ministry Center.

Additionally, I was able to attend the Army CHBOLC Graduation at Fort Jackson to celebrate with our LBF graduates, Jesse Stewart, Aaron Connor, Joshua Hughes, William Sexton, Aaron Fabian, Joseph Lively, Jordan Dersch, Steven Abbot, and Daniel Powers.

Please know we would like to visit you and observe your ministry when possible.
