What a joy it’s been watching our young scholars settle into their classrooms with excitement and curiosity to kick off the 2025-26 school year! The support from and collaboration with the Lake Country Classical Academy community fuel our mission to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a classical education. As LCCA's Principal, I thought it might be meaningful to share a bit more about what drives me to lead LCCA and why I’m so passionate about our approach to education.
Last October, I had the privilege of speaking at The Art of Teaching: Science conference in St. Louis, Missouri, hosted by Hillsdale College’s Hoogland Center for Teacher Excellence. In my speech, ‘Why I Lead a Classical School,’ I shared why I’m dedicated to classical education and cultivating wisdom, virtue, and a love for learning at LCCA. I believe this message reflects the heart of our vision, and I’m happy to share it with you. You can read the full speech linked HERE to explore how classical education shapes our scholars into thoughtful human beings prepared to engage in the world with wisdom, virtue, and purpose.

THE SENTINEL SPIRIT ATHLETIC NEWSLETTER
We are thrilled to announce the release of our new monthly athletic newsletter, The Sentinel Spirit! With the completion of our probationary period with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, we are now an official member of the WIAA! This means LCCA can now compete in conference, post-season, and championship tournaments. Not only will we have the ability to earn individual and team recognition at the state level, but our athletics can represent Lake Country Classical Academy with pride on a broader competitive stage. This is a major milestone that reflects hard work and unwavering school spirit, with unlimited possibilities.
Additionally, LCCA is proud to offer a new high school athletic Co-Op with University Lake School, expanding our reach and opportunities into girls' volleyball, boys' & girls' soccer, and co-ed ice hockey. We are also expanding our strong, independent LCCA programming to include boys' golf.

HOUSE SORTING DAY
It's hard to believe that LCCA's House system began just 12 short months ago! Year 2 kicked off in September with our House Sorting Day at the Upper School West Campus. The photo below perfectly captures the joy and sense of belonging felt by all students! The event was once again a resounding success, filled with excitement, new traditions, and the timeless thrill of welcoming new members into our House families. Each House—Phoenix, Griffin, Dragon, Sphinx, Pegasus, and Cetus—marched in with enthusiasm, and the air hummed with anticipation. The highlight came during the sorting ceremony, where seventh graders and new students lined up in the hallway, hearts pounding, before bursting through cheering tunnels formed by their new "House-mates." Later, leadership sessions with Dr. Wozniak and Captain Tim Dittloff offered profound insights on character and teamwork, sparking thoughtful discussions in House meetings. The midday brought friendly competition with Field Day events. By dismissal, students were energized and united, ready to carry this momentum forward. Thank you to our House Director, Deans, Faculty, and student officers for orchestrating such a memorable day!

CELEBRATE-A-SENIOR KICKOFF!
Let the celebrations begin! Our East students eagerly anticipated the kick-off of "Celebrate-A-Senior" activities this year. With a larger graduating class, there were certainly MORE seniors to go around! Polite hands raised to ask questions during the "All About Me" session, and respectful agreement was shown when those personal anecdotes were shared and matched with students and seniors alike. Each class was full of beaming faces as they learned all about "their seniors." The morning ended with each senior sharing their favorite childhood book and reading aloud to the class. This new LCCA tradition will stand the test of time for students from kindergarten through 12th grade!

THANK YOU AGAIN TO THE 2025 LIBERTY GALA
AMERICAN PATRIOT SPONSOR!
| | Although LCCA receives state aid as a public, tuition-free, charter school, we do not receive adequate pupil funding such as that of our neighboring public school districts; therefore, we will always need to fundraise to help bridge the gap. As a fully K-12 school with approximately 600 enrolled students, we continue to seek the generosity of our community to assist with operating costs. Thank you for your continued support. | | | | |
