🐾 Welcome Fall !!

As we continue to commemorate our 10th Anniversary, there is much to celebrate. Meet Montgomery, whose life was saved by dedicated volunteers and generous donors. Montgomery was found in an abandoned home suffering from illness and malnutrition.

This newsletter will also cover the vast knowledge of our fosters and mentors, who are always willing to share their insights on such issues as managing a cat urinating outside the litter box.

We are excited to share a fall packed with events, thanks to our tireless volunteers. So much to celebrate and appreciate as we bid farewell to summer and welcome the many colors of fall.

Our 10th Anniversary Celebration Continues

View an anniversary message from our director.

LCCR’s Tenth Anniversary celebration has successfully advanced our mission to provide loving care to every cat that comes through the rescue while we find them permanent homes. In June the $10 off adoption fee promotion generated 68 adoptions, and media coverage over the last few months has raised awareness of LCCR in the community. As we continue to mark this ten-year milestone and reflect on the many achievements, we acknowledge and thank our fosters, volunteers, adopters, partners, and supporters.

❀️ What Your Support Makes Possible ❀️

Montgomery was found, huddled in a cupboard, in a home that had been abandoned by its owners, leaving their pets behind with no food or water. He was skin and bones when we found him a week later, incontinent and mostly blind. In alignment with LCCR's mission, the rescue opted for supportive care and treatment rather then the vet's option of euthanasia. He is currently being treated for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). He is very affectionate and happy, has gained 3 pounds and is continuing to improve.

How long does pre-approval last?

It is possible to apply for adoption pre-approval. We handle the screening and interviewing, so that when you are ready to adopt, you can take a kitty home right away, assuming you and the foster agree the kitty is a good fit.

Pre-approval status lasts for a year from the date of application, as long as your address and your reference remain the same. It does not obligate you to adopt through us, it just speeds the process. Apply now.
