Message from the City Manager, Daniel Jordan!

Greetings City of La Cañada Flintridge residents,

With the first day of school rapidly approaching, I'm sure we are all looking for the last few opportunities to soak up the summer. Your City staff has been hard at work with various events and projects to ensure your summer ends strong.

Residents have been enjoying the variety of Music in the Park performances at Memorial Park. The summer series concludes the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, September 3, so be sure to check out a performance before it ends.

Our Summer Beach Bus program has been taking residents to Santa Monica Beach on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and ends on Monday, September 4. Don't miss out on this resident-favorite summer offering!

As a reminder, the annual field rehabilitation closures are underway. The City closes all of its athletic fields each summer for regular maintenance and recovery from extensive use. The fields will be fully open by August 14 as the closures coincide with the La Cañada Unified School District's summer break.

As we head into fall, I'd like our residents to know that my door is always open. Please feel free to call, email or come into city hall if you have any questions or concerns.

With Deep Gratitude,

Daniel Jordan, Ph.D.

ActiveLCF

ActiveLCF is officially live! ActiveLCF, a new interactive recreation software, allows users to access a simplified reservation system for parks, athletic fields and facilities. The new software also allows City staff to quickly access and review digital permits.

With ActiveLCF, both parties can easily check permit statuses and access required documents. It also gives City staff the ability to leave comments for applicants to view and respond.

Individuals or groups seeking use of the City’s recreational facilities that require reservations and permits will need to submit requests through ActiveLCF.

CSCDA PACE Program

The LCF City Council approved a resolution establishing a partnership with the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (CSCDA) to launch the new Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Program.

The PACE program empowers residents and businesses to make energy-efficient upgrades to create a greener and more sustainable future. Residents can choose from three PACE program administrators for residential projects. Notably, the program operates without utilizing taxpayer dollars or staff obligations, as transactions occur solely between PACE administrators and property owners.
