The Waffleman Is Coming!
April 23-25 at the Playhouse Parking Lot
The Playhouse and The Waffleman are bringing The Waffleman Food Truck to the Playhouse from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily, Friday through Sunday April 23-25. Drop by for a carryout order. 

The Waffleman Food Trailer will not only offer traditional 9-inch Belgian waffles and sausage, but it will also offer up to two specialty flavors of waffles which will be available as a 9-inch Belgian waffles or as a Waffle Dawg (a waffle on a stick!).

Bill Maltas, The Waffleman, has been a music director and actor with the Playhouse (last seen as Henry Ford in Ragtime). When you place a waffle order at the food truck you will be helping two local businesses - The Waffleman and Lincoln Community Playhouse.

Now that March Madness is over, it's time for some April Foolishness.

Let's play Brick Bracket to choose your favorite backstage brick. Check out our social media platforms Monday-Thursday and select your favorite brick to advance to the finals. Posts will go out on Mondays during the noon hour.

The brick chosen as the winner wins an all-expense trip to the backstage and insider's view tickets to every play next season.

Grayson Barrett Walburn
Congratulations to Melissa Casper Walburn and Brett Walburn on the birth of Grayson Barrett Walburn. Grayson was born April 6th and weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.

Melissa has performed in several shows, including Les Miserables, Oklahoma, Catch Me If You Can, and Anything Goes.

Alumni News - Michael (Duling) D'Angora
Michael (Duling) D’Angora and his husband, Tom, are spearheading a fundraising event for The York Theatre in NYC on Sunday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. As if the pandemic wasn’t enough, the theatre experienced a devastating flood caused by a city water main break in January.

This event will be an online performance of The Musical of Musicals! The Musical! This loving spoof of musical theatre retells a story as if written by Jerry Herman, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Kander and Ebb, and Rodgers and Hammerstein. Playhouse Executive Director, Morrie Enders, saw the premiere production at The York Theatre and stated, “this a is FUNNY show and mandatory viewing by musical theatre lovers. You will laugh yourself silly.”

This all-star event will feature appearances by Tony Award winners Matthew Broderick, Betty Buckley, André De Shields, Jane Krakowski, Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Chita Rivera and Lillias White; Oscar and Tony Award winner Mercedes Ruehl; Drama Desk Award winners Lewis Black, Richard Kind, Jose Llana and Isaac Mizrahi; Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita; Emmy Award winner Debra Messing; Tony Award nominees Andrea McArdle, Brad Oscar and Ethan Slater; Emmy Award nominees Giancarlo Esposito, Martha Plimpton and Randy Rainbow; and Lucille Lortel Award winner Soara-Joye Ross. They are joined by Christy Altomare, Colleen Ballinger, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Telly Leung, Kelvin Moon Loh, Christine Pedi, Jelani Remy, Jackie Sanders, Michael West and Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

With music by Eric Rockwell, lyrics by Joanne Bogart and book by Joanne Bogart and Eric Rockwell, this special benefit performance is directed by Tom D’Angora and Michael D’Angora, with music direction and arrangements by Deniz Cordell and original director Pamela Hunt serving as artistic supervisor.

Michael and his sister, Kally, grew up at the Playhouse. Both now work professionally in NYC. Their father, Kevin, was a beloved member of the Playhouse family, having served as Board President and cheerleader for his children's theatre careers.
