AUDITIONS Reminder for The Fantasticks
Lincoln Community Playhouse will hold auditions for the Season 76 opener, The Fantasticks, on July 18 & 19, with callbacks on July 21 at the Playhouse. Auditions begin at 7:00 p.m. and actors should signup for a one-hour slot below.

Lincoln Community Playhouse often features actors who are making their Playhouse debut and sometimes even performing in their first play. For the safety of the production, all actors must be fully vaccinated by the audition date. Performances are September 9-12 and 17-19.

The Fantasticks is sponsored by Nebraska Lottery and Firespring. Season Sponsor is Russ’s Market. Season Media Sponsors are Alpha Media, 10/11 Cares, and Lincoln Journal Star.
Lincoln Community Playhouse will perform “A Toby Show,” a homespun take on “Cinderella,” at Havelock Park (July 20th), Peter Pan Park (July 22nd), Trago Park (July 27th) and Hazel Abel Park (July 29th) with performances beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Performances are family friendly and free.

A Toby Show by Aurand Harris brings back to the stage the American folk character Toby, a country bumpkin who, through naiveté, honesty and homespun humor, outwits the city slickers.

Starring in “Cinderella,” Toby and friends mix fairy tale with farce and melodrama to create family friendly fun.

The cast includes Daniel Peters, Emily Moore, Lynette Boyce, Zoe Tien, Olivia Sis, Noah Mason, and Marissa Gill Keyzer. Music will be provided by The Vintage Trio. The show is directed by Morrie Enders with stage management/costumes by Christine Cottam, Cinderella's dress created by Erna Reithmeier.

Penguin Project: Elf Jr. News
Season 76 (2021-2022) Penguin Project will be different in several ways to accommodate the pandemic.

The first opportunity to participate this year was offered to those Artists and Mentors who lost a show during the pandemic in Willy Wonka JR.

All Artist roles are filled and the Playhouse will not be taking any new Artists this season.

We have several openings for Mentors, and are now accepting students who are interested by filling out a form (click the button below). Interested Mentors will need to attend registration night on August 3rd at 6:30p.

Please note, not all interested Mentors may end up participating, as the Directing Team takes into careful consideration many factors, including, but not limited to, schedules, ages, engagement with others and demonstration of enthusiasm for the rehearsal and performance process.
