The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends the annual flu vaccine for children 6 months of age and older.

Fun Facts About Amanda
  • Amanda went to Dominican University in River Forest, IL for her undergrad and then to Rush University where she received a General Entry Masters degree in nursing.
  • She joined TCP in 2017. Prior to joining TCP, she worked in the NICU at Rush University.
  • Amanda grew up in Elmwood Park, IL and lived in the West Loop for several years prior to moving to Arlington Heights. "I am a city girl at heart and still love going to the city for date nights and to spend time with friends."
  • She got married in 2021 and recently bought a house and moved to Arlington Heights where she lives with her husband, Andrew, and dog, Bruno.
  • She roots for the Buffalo Sabres hockey team. "My husband grew up in Buffalo, NY and is a huge Buffalo Sabres Hockey Fan. I am now a converted Sabres fan."
  • She likes to read thrillers/murder mysteries, and to travel. "I recently was able to travel to Italy!"
  • Something interesting about Amanda that most people don't know is that she has a twin brother.

After 27 years with Town & Country Pediatrics, Dr. Irene Freeman is retiring in December.
