Spring Apparel Store is Closed!


Thank you to everyone who participated in the club's apparel store. Orders should start to be fulfilled soon. For anyone who missed the spring store, do not worry. There is another store set to open this fall!


If anyone is looking for a shirt or hat before the next online store, we have some available at the clubhouse counter.

2026 Youth Nature Camp:


Do you have a child who loves to play outside or is curious about nature? Enter them for a chance to attend a nature camp hosted by Lawrence County Conservation District. This year LCSA sponsors 4 campers to attend. We would like to fill these spots with youth of current LCSA Members.


Camp #1: Advanced Nature Camp:


This camp is designed for youth ages 12-17

When: June 15th - 18th

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Where: Different locations are being utilized over the four-day camp.


Camp #2: Summer Nature Camp:


This camp is designed for youth ages 8-11

Registration limited to 20 campers


When: July 20th - 24th

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Where: Tentatively at Shenango Park in New Castle


A separate email will be sent with more information about the camps.


Entry Information:


*Two boxes are setup in the clubhouse to collect entries, one box for each camp. There are slips of paper asking for information for each youth entered. We will also accept entries via email: shootlcsa@gmail.com (Make the subject of the email 'LCCD Summer Camp Entry', and please specify which age group: Ages 8-11 or Ages 12-17)


The information needed for entry is:

~Camper's Name ~ Age and Birthday ~ Address and Phone #

~ Name/relation to LCSA Member


Entry Information:

~ Advanced Nature Camp (Ages 12-17) names will be pulled: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 @ 5:30 p.m. at the clubhouse, before the Membership Meeting.

~Summer Nature Camp (Ages 8-11) names will be pulled: Tuesday, June 16, 2026 @ 5:30 p.m. at the clubhouse, before the Membership Meeting.

~ 1 entry per Youth/Camper

~ Prospective Campers must be related to a Current LCSA Member.

~ Campers do not need to be present during drawing.

Clean-up Day:


The SCTP Young Guns team conducted a clean-up day around the club on Saturday, May 2nd. They helped spread mulch and completed other various jobs around the club in preparation for the 2026 shooting season.

Indoor Range Lighting:



The SASP Range Racers Team helped install new and brighter lights in the Indoor Range.

SASP PA State Match:


LCSA is hosting the PA State Match for SASP (Scholastic Action Shooting Program). The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed for Setup: May 21-22, 2026. The Upper Pistol Bays and Indoor Range will be closed for matches: May 23 & 24, 2026.

2026 IDPA PA State Match:


The Upper Pistol Bays and Indoor Range will be closed for the IDPA PA State Match. Setup will be June 2-5. Matches will be held June 6-7. More information under 'Events'

SCTP- Western PA CUP Shoot:


On Sunday June 14, 2026, we will be hosting the SCTP- Western PA CUP Shoot. The sporting clays course will have limited access during the shoot, and all carts are reserved for the event.

Approved Backstops / Target holders:


Reminder: When shooting in any of the LCSA Pistol Bays, please use proper backstops and target holders. There have been numerous times our Maintenance Team has found old, used tires left in the Lower Pistol Bay for us to clean up and dispose of. We understand they work well in these scenarios; however, we are not responsible for the aftermath when left. Anyone leaving debris/tires may be subject to membership consequences.

Club Calendar:


The club calendar on our website is the ultimate schedule for club events. From late spring to mid Fall, the club is busy with events in various areas of the club. The purpose of the monthly newsletter is to let members know of upcoming scheduled events. However, there may be times that an event is added or removed after the newsletter is sent. Therefore, the newsletter is not to replace the club calendar. Please check the calendar before coming out so you can plan accordingly.

Indoor Range Safe Area:


The Indoor Range will be closed and used as a safe area during all scheduled matches held at the Upper Pistol Bays.


This includes the following Upcoming Matches:

Buy, Sell, Trade Posting Rules:


For any member looking to utilizing the board, please adhere by the following rules.


  1. Items for sale may only be posted by club members.
  2. Write the date on the item(s) to be posted. Any items posted without dates will be removed immediately, regardless of how long it has been hanging on the board.
  3. For Sale items will be removed 30 days after posting. Please post again if the item(s) are not sold or you would like them posted again.
  4. Wanted items will be removed 60 days after posting. Please post again if still wanted.

Ammo for Sale:


We have 12-gauge shotgun shells for sale for members: $85 a flat. They are available on Sundays only from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Club Reminders:


Rifle Range Guest Policy: 

Rifle Range Guests, who are shooting, are permitted on Sundays ONLY from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Members may bring 2 guests at a time per day. Guests need to be registered at the clubhouse counter before proceeding down to the range. The first 2 guests per year per member are $10 each. Subsequent guests after the initial 2 of the year are $25 per guest per day. Any member violating the guest policy is subject to loss of membership privileges.


Junior Members becoming an Adult Member: 

The month a Junior Member turns 18 years old, and wishes to continue their membership, they are eligible to become an Adult Members. They will need to complete/submit an application and attend a 'New Member Meeting'. The initiation fee is waived, however there will be the fees for the Membership and key card. * Please add a note on the completed application that they are transferring from a Junior Member to an Adult Member.


Steel Target Approval:

Reminder: All outside steel targets need to be pre-approved by the Board of Directors prior to usage on club property. Targets can be approved on meeting nights, third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Please have all targets set up on the front covered porch by 6:45 p.m., prior to the start of the meeting.

SASP PA State Match:

Where: Upper Pistol Bays and Indoor Range


These areas will be closed during the set up and matches. You are invited to come and see these budding athletes as they take aim and showcase their dedication, all are welcome.

2026 IDPA PA State Match:


Setup: June 2-5, 2026

Matches: June 6-7, 2026

Where: Upper Pistol Bays and Indoor Range.


This is a Tier 3 Match. There will be 11 stages with an approximate round count of 180.

There will be one low light stage indoors so plan accordingly.


Firearms will be checked for IDPA compliance and ammunition will be chronographed for power factor.

Spring Clays League- 2026:


The Spring Clays League has started.


This is a LCSA members only league that will run until June 6th.


When: Shoot Saturday or Monday


Saturdays: May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 & June 6

Monday: May 4, 11, 18 & June 1


League Duration: 8 Weeks

Targets: 50 Targets a week

Archery:


The LCSA Twang Gang will be starting back.


When: Wednesday Evenings, May 6, 13, 20 & 27

Time: 5:30 p.m.

Cost: $1 for Members/ $10 for Non-Members/ Kids 16 and under shoot FREE!

Where: Shoot the 3D course. The group meets by the Rifle Range Gate


All ages, compounds and stick bows.

No Broadheads

The 3D Bowman Trail is open for members and non-members to practice. Also, the archery area near Sporting Clays Station #1 is for members only. All targets are field tip only. There is a broadhead block located in the Members Only Archery Area. The new archery tower is in production, keep an eye out for the finished product.

Bullseye League:


NRA 50-foot pistol targets will be used for slow, time, and rapid fire controlled by the range officer.


Any member wishing to learn how to shoot Bullseye or increase their skill at shooting Bullseye are welcome to shoot with the group. We have a mix of Guy and Gal shooters.
