Stay in the Know with LCSO
The LCSO team at the 20th Annual Villages Chili Cook Off served over 30 gallons of chili and took home the Public Safety First Place Trophy. Way to go LCSO!
5th Annual LCSO Bass Tournament
During our 5th Annual Bass Tournament, $25,000 was raised benefiting the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches. The tournament sets up a two-person team to tackle the waters of Lake County in a fun and exciting one-day tournament to see who can catch the largest bass around. A total of 104 teams from all around Central Florida participated.

During the Bass Tournament, land-lovers participated in our first LCSO Cornhole Tournament, while the children participated in Fish-N-Fun day with activities like climbing the
rock wall, face painting and many other activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Crime Prevention-Tip of the Month
Lock It or Lose It
Lake County
Did you know that in 2017 over 58% of car burglaries happened to unlocked cars? We want you to take the necessary measures to protect your belongings by setting a reminder to check your doors to make sure they are locked and to never leave valuables in the car, making an easy target for thieves.

Remember, together we can make Lake County an even safer place to live, work and play!
Traffic Safety-Tip of the Month
From year to year, Florida has seen the amount of hit and run crashes remain steady, with nearly 25 percent of all crashes involving a hit and run. Although the majority of hit and run crashes only result in property damage, hit and run crashes can be deadly.

The Stay at the Scene campaign aims to reduce the number of hit and run crashes in Florida by educating drivers on their responsibilities if involved in a crash and the serious consequences they face if they choose not to Stay at the Scene.
If you are involved in a crash, stay at the scene and call for help. It’s not just the law – you could save a life.
