Highlights

July was an absolute blast! We celebrated the Fourth of July with some fantastic art projects (see below), captured incredible videos of our therapy in action, and showered our amazing families, caregivers, and birthday stars with love.

Hosting our monthly free virtual workshop was a true highlight, and we are endlessly grateful for the incredible community we serve every day. Our team is truly the heart of what we do, so please join us in celebrating our wonderful Staff and Therapists of the Month featured below, as well!

As we look ahead to the back-to-school season, don't forget to make sure schedules are updated for your clients. Just a reminder to spread the word that we are also actively looking for passionate volunteers to join our team! Whether you are a student preparing for college, currently in school, interested in pediatric therapy, or simply want to give back to the community, we would love to connect. Thank you for all you do to make our community so special!

Therapy In Action

We had some action-packed therapy sessions this week! We worked on building power and boosting coordination. Since agility is the foundation for confident, balanced movement, this session was perfect for helping to stay active, strong, and moving safely in daily life.

Monthly Interactive Community Workshop Recap:

Toe Walking with Christian Goins, PT

At Little Champs, we believe that supporting a child's development takes a village—and that village thrives on shared knowledge. Our recent live workshop on Idiopathic Toe Walking perfectly highlighted why interactive, community-focused sessions are so incredibly impactful for parents, educators, and therapists alike.

These workshops aren't just lectures; they are dynamic, collaborative spaces where clinical expertise meets real-world parenting.

What We Learned: Demystifying Toe Walking

Led by Christian, one of our Head Physical Therapists, the session broke down the essentials of toe walking in a way that was easy to understand and instantly actionable.

  • The Basics: While walking on tiptoes is a completely normal milestone for toddlers under two, persistent toe walking past ages 2–3 warrants a closer look.
  • The Root Causes: It’s rarely just a habit! Christian explained how sensory preferences, tight calf muscles, balance challenges, and family history all play a role. Because every child is unique, treatment plans must be customized.
  • Fun, At-Home Solutions: Attendees walked away with playful, practical exercises to try at home—like "penguin walks" and animal poses—proving that effective physical therapy can feel like playtime.
  • The Big Takeaway: Early evaluation and consistent, playful home therapy are the ultimate keys to success, making advanced interventions like braces or surgery rarely necessary.

Why Our Live Workshops Matter for Our Community

The true magic of these sessions happens when the floor opens up for real-time connection. During this workshop, an attendee shared her personal journey navigating toe walking, sensory processing challenges, and ADHD with her 5-year-old son.

This exact moment captures why we host these live events:

  • Real-Time Problem Solving: Instead of navigating a complex healthcare system alone, the parent received immediate validation, clinical insight, and direct troubleshooting for scheduling and insurance barriers.
  • Bridges to Care: We were able to instantly coordinate potential evaluation slots at our Fort Lauderdale clinic, fast-tracking a child toward the right care.
  • A Supportive Space: Parents quickly realize they aren't alone. Hearing that teachers and other families are noticing the same patterns builds a comforting sense of community solidarity.

Our interactive workshops turn clinical expertise into a conversational, supportive resource for everyone. Stay tuned for our next live session—we can’t wait to learn, grow, and support our amazing community together!

All About Birthdays

Celebrating Our Loyalty Basket Recipients!

At our core, we believe that family isn't just an important thing—it’s everything. That’s why we love taking the time to honor the incredible families who have stood by us year after year. Our special loyalty baskets are just a small token of our immense gratitude for their deep trust, shared memories, and unwavering support over the long haul.

It is an absolute joy to celebrate the people who make our community feel like home, and we are thrilled to share a few of the wonderful families we had the privilege of surprising this past month!
