Are Your Members Feeling the Financial Impact of COVID-19?
The Louisiana Workforce Commission says people who have lost their jobs or who have seen their hours cut can apply for unemployment benefits immediately.

As a worker, they may be eligible for unemployment insurance if:
  • their work hours have been reduced because of lack of work due to coronavirus.
  • workplace closes temporarily, and you are not being compensated.
  • they have been instructed not to go to work and are not being paid while at home.
If any of these situations apply, they can file a claim for unemployment insurance by clicking here.
