Three Things You Didn't Know Your Marketing was Missing
On the Mark Strategies has identified three things that credit unions may be missing in their marketing that if implemented could add hundred of thousands of dollars to your credit union's bottom line... if done the right way! We aren't talking about proofreading errors, but about big-picture shifts.

For each of these, you'll probably fall into one of two categories:

  1. Wait, that needs to be part of marketing? Why?
  2. I definitely thought I was doing that. Are you telling me I'm not?

Gay Parvazi Receives CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council's Lifetime Achievement Award
Congratulations to Louisiana's own Gay Parvazi! During the 2021 CUNA Marketing & Business Development Conference last week, Gay Parvazi of UNO FCU was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gay first started in 1984 working for the Louisiana Credit Union League (LCUL) as Director of Communications and Education. Later in her career, she opened her consulting firm, Parvazi Unlimited (later renamed Parvazi Consulting Firm), to expand her reach to help more credit unions. Her work has garnered recognition on both national and local levels, including being recognized with multiple CUNA Diamond Awards and multiple LCUL Excellence in Marketing awards representing several credit unions.

After Hurricane Katrina, Gay searched for ways to help credit unions across the area rebuild. She was, and is again, a resident of St. Bernard Parish, which was utterly devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Even with her own home destroyed and her family displaced, she reached out to credit unions to help with their disaster recovery efforts and business continuity plans.

Gay has earned the respect of countless colleagues who work at all levels in credit unions across the nation over her career and has no intention of slowing down. Her work was never about a paycheck, but about her passion for the credit union mission and helping people. Gay continues to consult through Parvazi Consulting Firm and currently serves as Director of Marketing & Business Development for UNO Federal Credit Union, a position she has held since 2016.
