WW 12/10/25: Show week & Holiday break

A NOTE FROM MISS KATE M:


Sunday was COLD, but that didn't stop us from showing up for our beloved Waukesha Community! We had over 100 dancers, staff and families join us to dance and walk in the parade. Many new memories were made and we are grateful for the opportunity to use our love of dance to bring joy to our community.


Shout out to my talented mom, Miss Jan, for making 140 scarves. They are so cute and kept us nice and warm. We do have a few extras for sale. $5 cash only...all proceeds go towards our special needs non-profit, Darby's Dancers. Get yours before they're gone!


Next week is Christmas show week! See below for more details...same set up as Halloween week. We can't wait to fill the studio with all of the love and support. Looking forward to seeing you all.


The lost & found is set out in the vestibule. Please give it a look when you come in to see if any of these lovely items are your dancer's! Items still here over break will be donated.

IMPORTANT:

SHOW WEEK (12/15-12/20)

  • Same set up at Halloween Show week...all classes will come together to show you what they've been working on in the black studio.
  • Final 20-30 minutes of every hour, in the black studio.
  • Dress festive!
  • Dancers will get their 2025 LDC Ornament that week too!


REMINDER: We have SO much support during these weeks, but that also means that parking is jam packed and a bit CrAZy too.

  • Please allow for some extra time to find parking or to walk from your spot.
  • TIP: Drop off your older dancer, circle the block as the lot clears out and then come back to grab a spot.
  • And be PATIENT and UNDERSTANDING. Thank you in advance!!!

CHRISTMAS CLEARING COUNCIL

Thank you to all that donated gifts. We have BINS and BINS full to give to these families that we sponsored this year. They will truly have a wonderful holiday because of you!

LOOKING AHEAD:


HOLIDAY BREAK (12/21-1/4)

  • There are NO classes those 2 weeks and the studio will be closed.
  • The LDC team will be enjoying some family time. So if you need something and reach out, we will get back to you but it will be delayed.
  • Or if it can wait until we get back, even better. Thank you for understanding!

REMINDERS:

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Tis the season!!! Some reminders about our inclement weather policy.


  • We will aim to make the call by NOON for evening classes.
  • We do not necessarily follow schools, as sometimes it's worse in the morning, sometimes worse in the evening.
  • If we do close, we will announce via: Email, Facebook & Instagram and TMJ4.
  • If we are open, but you don't feel safe driving...please stay home!
  • Safety is our number one concern for our dancers/families, staff and teenage drivers.
  • If we cancel or you choose to not attend, simply make up your missed class(es) at your convenience!

RECITAL!!!

The board is UP and the recital website is LIVE!

If you've been here before, you know the deal :)


If you are new to us...we can't wait for your to experience the magic that is recital! You may think it's just one weekend in the spring, but there are quite a few elements and special moments throughout the year that make up this special core memory.


BOARD IS UP: Be sure to check out the poster on the slat wall in the lobby (look for the balloon display and huddle of people!).


RECITAL WEBSITE IS LIVE: We have a dedicated recital website that will house all of the information you will need. We spread it out over the course of the next 6 7 months, so not all is released yet, but the photos of the costumes and songs names are!


COSTUMES: Costumes are being ordered as we speak! It takes a bit of time to get them in, organized and ready to hand out. But we will be working on that and handout begins in February!
