** THIS WEEK's NATURE CHALLENGE: **
Spend some time outside and enjoy the weather by having a picnic! Enjoy your meal in your backyard, patio, nearby park, etc. Remember to pack your trash or any food scraps.
Take a photo of your spot and post it on our ELK Facebook Page.

C&NN's Youth Outdoor Equity Leadership Fund
The Youth Outdoor Equity Leadership Fund will support young leaders working to increase equitable access to the benefits of nature, environmental and climate justice, and community health and well being. Grant making decisions will be made by a youth-led committee. Encourage youth leaders in your city to apply. Learn more about the fund.

Youth ages 11-14 in the Denver area that are interested in a short summer program please consider the YOUth Leadership Academy I will be teaching through the Conflict Center August 3-6. The curriculum covers conflict management and youth leadership skills. Scholarships are available.

We are super excited to announce that the Sims-Fayola Foundation will host our inaugural I AM A FAYOLA MAN SUMMER LEADERSHIP CAMP for young men in the DENVER METRO AREA! We have decided to hold our camp in two phases. A virtual/online phase and an in-person phase. Virtual Phase: We will hold our online sessions with aspects of our camp that translate to a remote environment. Specifically, we will hold our online STEM labs, Social Expression course, Career Conversations (High school only), and Book Study. The classes will take place on July 7,8,9,14,15,16, 21,22,23, 28,29,30. In Person Phase: We will wait until the fall and take advantage of some three day weekends and regular weekends to host our in person activities. Specifically, they are Empowered Ambition Youth Development Program (EAYD), Real time STEM experiments, First Tee Golf, and Financial Literacy classes.

July 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30 (9AM - 1PM)
CAMP DATES: HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS - July 8, 15, 22, 29 (9AM - 11AM)

When it comes to our annual Cast a Line Family Fishing event - we can't stop, won't stop! This year, we're going virtual and casting across state lines - all the way to Atlanta, GA! Join us as we host Malik Wilder of Fishing for Hip Hop as he discusses the importance of introducing young people to the outdoors!
Malik has over 25 years of fishing skills and experience that he's utilized while fishing all over the world. He's been featured on one of the World Fishing Network's major fishing TV shows and has dedicated himself to introducing young people to the outdoors and the sport of fishing.
