A Note from our Executive Director
Dear friend,
Have you ever considered what it takes to leap? Imagine a dancer leaping beautifully across a stage. She flies up, her legs are straight and strong. When a dancer leaps, she needs to know where she is going, she needs a solid foundation to take off, and she needs strength and flexibility and skill. She makes it look effortless, but a great leap is the result of training, preparation, and strength.
This month, IVYP became LEAP: Learn. Engage. Advocate. Partner. It’s a perfect name for us. Not only do we embody the words learn, engage, advocate, and partner, but we also provide that solid foundation for our community. We nurture strengths so that our children and our families can leap into whatever future they envision for themselves.
Equally important, you provide that solid foundation for this organization. The future I envision for LEAP is ambitious. We are working on leaping into Lompoc. We know there is tremendous need for early childhood educational services there, and we are equipped to do that. Becoming LEAP allows us to assess where we can be of most service throughout Santa Barbara County, and work to bring our unique strengths to the task.
Becoming LEAP and fulfilling that vision requires the support of a strong community. As we move toward our future, I hope you will invest in us by making an extra donation today.

The Learning Never Stops: Parenting Classes at LEAP
Our Family Resource Center just completed a 10-week parenting class! 26 graduates delved into various topics essential for nurturing their children. The program emphasized brain development, effective communication, and more. Parents also learned about the significance of self-care and strategies to raise resilient children. With this knowledge, the graduates are ready to embark on a new chapter of mindful and supportive parenting.
"The atmosphere that is formed is very comfortable, all the people who are part of the class were very kind, those in charge of giving the class explained everything in a simple way to understand and the topics were very interesting." -A Graduate
If you’d like to enroll in our fall class, which is taught only in Spanish, contact Ana Maya at (805) 869-3303.

Harvest of the Month
Get ready to discover the amazing world of summer squash! These fantastic veggies come in various shapes and colors, like vibrant yellow crookneck, tasty zucchini, and adorable pattypan. These nutritious veggies are like nature's hydrating superheroes, perfect for hot summer days!
One of the best ways to enjoy summer squash is by roasting them on a vegetable skewer. The roasting process brings out their natural sweetness, and they become tender and full of flavor. So gather your favorite veggies, slide them onto skewers, and let them sizzle over the grill. The result? A colorful and tasty treat that will make your taste buds dance and give you a healthy boost of vitamins.

Be a diaper champion by sponsoring the cost of diapers for local families. Diapers are one of the most consistent requests from our families at our FRC. Disposable diapers can cost as much as $100 per month per baby so every contribution makes a big difference.
