Nov. 15, 2023
Ahoy my fellow captains,
Can you believe that it is November already … wasn’t it just last week that we were all so excited to get our boats in the water. For now, our boats are snuggled away under wraps, in boat barns, and storage units taking their winter rest relaxing and rejuvenating for next season, just as we should also do.
Once again, days will turn into weeks which turn into months and then time will have seemed to have flown by. As once again our excitement, anticipation, and getting the boat ready will start building as we await those launch dates.
Take this time to take care of yourselves, your boat, and your equipment to be ready to chase those walleyes as soon as possible next spring.
The late summer, fall, and early winter season has continued to be good for both Walleye and Perch. Many limit catches are still being caught if you are one of those lucky enough to still be on the water. As, always keep an eye to the sky. We all know winter weather can change in an instant and be brutal.
I’d like to thank all the Captains who took the time out of their schedules to attend the Captain’s Education Day at Stone Lab. We had a great turnout, and it looks like we may be able to do this again next year in late August.
Stay safe wherever your travels may take you.
With that, I’ll close with, “Have a Happy Holiday season.”
Tight lines and signing off till next year.
Respectfully,
Captain Peg
