Thanks to our members who attended our awards lunch on Feb. 19th at Ruffino's. We had a great turnout to celebrate the accomplishments of our well deserving award winners.
The "Evening Under the Stars to Celebrate the Engineering Profession" turned out to be a great event. We are already planning for next year! Thanks to everyone who attended the joint event with ASCE, WTS and LES.
We announced during E-Week our upcoming STEM Grant Program for K-12 schools. You will see more information about this in the coming weeks.
At our March lunch meeting, we honored all of our past LES Baton Rouge Chapter Presidents. Dr. Tommy Karam from LSU Department of Marketing was our speaker. Several people told us how much they enjoyed Dr. Karam's talk about personal branding.
Coming up in April, we have two opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in the spring. Our Annual William A. Wintz Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament is set for April 12th at the Santa Maria Golf Course. This tournament is always has a great turnout and this event funds the scholarships awarded to very deserving students of the LSU and SU engineering program.
