February 27, 2020

Dear Lovejoy Families,

We have had a fantastic week of learning.  Today, I had the honor of attending our 3rd graders' Living Museum. Our students have researched many famous Americans, and they wrote a speech about them.  Our students had fantastic comments, and they were very knowledgeable about their famous person. I was so impressed that they could tell you more information when you asked them a question.

Tomorrow, our fourth graders and I will be traveling to Austin.  I love this field trip! They visit the State Capitol and the Bob Bullock Museum.  It is a long day, but it is worth it. Our 4th graders will be arriving tomorrow morning at 5:45 am, and we will be returning Friday night between 8:30 - 8:45 pm.  I will be giving updates throughout the day to our fourth-grade parents through our calling system. I will also be posting updates on Facebook. Any fourth-grade parent that is nervous or worried, please call or text me on my cell phone so I can give you individualized updates for your child.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

All My Best,
Wendy Craft

My mission is to be a servant leader who works with students, parents, and staff to build a community that fosters relationships and learning where everyone THRIVES.  Each day, I strive to make the choice to be great versus comfortable, because you can't be both!

Upcoming Events

The elementary campouts are an opportunity for parents, students, teachers, and staff to come together with the community for a night of fun, fellowship, and service. Each elementary campus hosts its own event that provides a night of activities for the whole family and culminates with an overnight campout under the stars. In addition to building community, this event also serves as a primary fundraiser for each campus. Funds raised during the campout event ensure LISD can continue to provide our students with premier educational programs. This event truly is a great example of One Heart. One Lovejoy.
