Book Fair
The Dino-mite Book Fair is here! The Book Fair will be held
March 4th - 8th from 7:45am - 3:45pm each day. You can shop tonight during Open House or on Friday morning until 12:00pm. Parents can now set up an eWallet account through Scholastic. Simply go to the Lovejoy Elem. Book Fair site and create an account. Add money into the account for your child, no more sending cash if you choose not to! Your account will be accessed when your student shops and they will know their spending limit. The Book Fair website is:

LNL Campus Campout Registration
Attention all Students and Parents- It is NOT too late to register for this year's Campus Campout! We are having a contest by class to see who will get the most registered by 3/22/19. If your class is in the FINAL FOUR, you will get to take a break from class and decorate the gym for the GLOW in the Dark Dance Party!!!!
This year the campout will have even more activities than last year: Pony Rides, Bounce Houses, A Rock Climbing Wall, Laser Tag, Karaoke, Bumper Soccer Balls, Hamster Races, 3x3 Basketball, Giant Chess, Hair Braiding, Face Painting, Live Entertainment, A Glow Dance Party, A Movie and Much More! Daddy Daughter Dance
Girls, grab your dads and join us for our annual LES Daddy/Daughter Dance on Friday, March 29th from 6:00 - 8:00pm and "Glow the Night Away". Tickets are $20 for dads and all of their LES daughters. Kindergarten Round Up
Kindergarten Roundup will be held at Lovejoy Elementary the week of March 25th - 29th. This is a registration opportunity for parents of Kindergarten age

3rd Grade Music Program
Please join us on Thursday, March 28th for the 3rd Grade Music Program. We will be demonstrating folk dances we have been practicing throughout the year. Bring your dancing shoes, as we will be inviting members of the audience to learn a dance! Our performance will begin at 6:30pm. Students will report to the music room at 6:15pm. Dress is red school wide shirt and dark pants/jeans.
Choir Sings at Allen Americans
Please join us on March 22nd to hear the choir sing the National Anthem at the Allen Americans game. This is Children's Book Night and will feature
character appearances, book reading, and Friday night autographs. Doors open at 6:05pm and the Puck Drops at 7:05pm. Tickets are $5 for performers and $16 per person. For tickets or more information visit:

Gifted and Talented Referral Window Open: February 1 - March 8
The referral window for students in grades 1-11 for gifted and talented services is open February 1 - March 8. Referral forms are located online in the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
Testing is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 and April 6. Appointments will be sent via email after the referral window closes March 8.
Please note: Kindergarten students will not be tested during the spring window.

This annual Lovejoy Tournament continues to be a hit around the metroplex. Come join your fellow chess players on March 30 at Sloan Creek for a wonderful day of chess play.
