Dear Lovejoy Families,

Happy Thursday! Today is the last day of the first nine weeks. If you have a first - fourth grader, please be on the lookout for communication regarding a teacher parent conference from your child's teacher. This is a great opportunity for parents and teachers to collaborate about your child's strengths and weaknesses. If your child is a Kindergartner, you will have the opportunity to meet with your child's teacher in January when the report card is sent home.

I am incredibly proud of our students and staff. They all have worked extremely hard and have adapted to all of the changes with amazing grace. This is a direct reflection of all of you. Thank you for sharing your amazing children with us. We will be welcoming approximately 23 students back on
Tuesday for on-campus learning. All parents who have had a child with a teacher change were contacted by Mrs. George, Mrs. Ruggeri, or myself. Therefore, if you did not hear from us, then this means that your child does not have teacher change.

I hope that your family has a happy and safe four day weekend creating lifelong memories. For the Craft's, we will be enjoying football all weekend with us kicking it off by watching the Leopards on Friday night. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at anytime.

All My Best,
Wendy Craft

Art Sparks

Art Sparks is...

A CELEBRATION of the visual arts focusing on elementary school students. An art appreciation program which exposes over 6000 Allen school children and adults to great works of art.

An EXPLORATION of what is seen with one’s eyes, as well as with one’s heart and intellect. Students use not only their eyes, but also their intellect and heart to put into words thoughts about what a work of art means on a personal level.

A COLLABORATION of city local sponsorship and citizen talent. ArtSparks is sponsored by the Allen Arts Alliance and staffed by dedicated community volunteers. Volunteers include parents, grandparents, retired educators, and local business leaders among others.

We are excited to announce that Art Sparks WILL be returning this year! We have a great ONLINE version of the program that provides an up-close and informative look at Art & Art History.

We would love to have parents take advantage of presenting to your child's class. There will be a total of four presentations for the school year. These will be done virtually. You will need to be comfortable with ZOOM and screen sharing. All of the material will be provided.

If you are interested in volunteering for your child’s class please contact Christina Broyles or click below!
