WHAT DOES NO COST TO YOU MEAN?
LET'S BREAK IT DOWN
Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) is securing money from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) to improve the sewer systems in the communities of Sedco Hills and Avenues.

FINAL DEADLINE - APRIL 30, 2023
THE COST OF THE CONVERSION IS FREE!
Through grant funding, EVMWD will cover the following expenses associated with conversion construction:

Capacity Fees - Up to $10,000
Sewer Lateral Installation - Up to $45,000
Septic System Abandonment - Up to $5,000

This means, as a homeowner, you will PAY NOTHING to convert if you have opted in for the project. Estimated savings of $60,000!
MONTHLY SEWER BILL
Once connected, a monthly sewer cost is incurred. Sewer costs consists of fixed and variable rates.

For example, Elsinore Eddie lives with his spouse and two children. They would confirm with EVMWD that they have a family of four in their household; their fixed rate charge would be $21.96, plus the variable rate charge would be 4 x $7.50, or $30, for a total sewer bill of $51.96.
RATE ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE
We can help you apply for the Rate Assistance for Residents of Elsinore Valley Program (RARE) to help eligible customers save money on their monthly bill.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T OPT IN?
If you choose not to opt in, and grant funding is secured, construction will continue to happen in your neighborhood; however, you will not have another opportunity to opt into this program.

If your septic tank fails after the project is complete, you will be required to connect to the central sewer AT YOUR OWN COST.
