2024 Dairy Day Celebration

May 29th in Albany

Dear NDFA Members,

I extend a personal invitation to you and your company to join us at the annual Dairy Day celebration in the New York State Capitol Legislative Office Building on Wednesday, May 29th. This event is organized by the appointed Senate and Assembly Agriculture Committee Chairs, Senator Michelle Hinchey and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, who are responsible for dairy agriculture legislation.

Your company’s involvement holds significance for several reasons:

  • Engage with key legislators influencing decisions in the agriculture and dairy sectors
  • Showcase your company’s brand by providing samples for around 300 guests. Ensure samples are individually packaged or served with gloves. Alternatively, you can offer product coupons if providing samples is impractical
  • Emphasize the role and impact of our industry on New York State’s agriculture, dairy, and overall economic landscape

Our objective is to demonstrate to the New York State Legislature and staff the depth, strength, and importance of our industry. I encourage your participation by showcasing your dairy products through samples and informative displays.

The event will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Well of the Legislative Office Building (LOB) at the State Capitol in Albany. Setup begins at 7:00 AM, and we request your readiness by 10:15 AM. Upon confirmation of participation, we will provide delivery, drop-off, and special reserved parking instructions. Additional cooler refrigeration storage will be available if needed, but advance notice is required. Six-foot tables will be provided for you to present samples of REAL DAIRY PRODUCTS manufactured in New York State, such as cheese, milk, ice cream, yogurt, or cottage cheese. Offering samples is an excellent way to engage with key Albany legislators, staff, state employees, capitol visitors, local and regional media, who will all be present. Please note that all samples must be served with gloves as per OGS Guidelines.

At your request, while in Albany, Northeast Dairy Foods & Suppliers Association can help schedule a meeting with your New York State Senator and/or Assembly representative. This is a valuable opportunity to highlight the importance of our industry to the State and address any pertinent issues.

Kindly confirm your participation by returning the response and completed forms by Thursday, May 9th. Table availability is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis by OGS staff.

We hope you can join us and demonstrate your support for our industry as we collaborate with Albany to promote Dairy Day. For any inquiries, please contact Alex Walsh at [email protected] or 315-243-9523.

Warm regards,

Alex Walsh
