Let the Holy Spirit Lead You
Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name, lead and guide me. (Psalm 31:3)

Amazing things happen when we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us. The optimal word in that statement is "lead." The Holy Spirit's role is to lead and not to follow.

Many times people make their own decisions and begin projects and then ask the Holy Spirit to follow them with their efforts. That is not the way it is supposed to happen.

We are to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit before and not after we involve ourselves in something. Our projects, tasks, assignments, and missions often fail because they are our own ideas without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. That means our endeavors will have no power to succeed.

Know that we cannot do anything on our own. We are to involve the Holy Spirit along with the entire Trinity in all we do.

  • We should follow God's commandment and do what He says when He says it.
  • We should look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Remember Jesus is not obligated to finish anything He did not start.
  • We should allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us in everything we do.

All of our doings will succeed when we step aside and allow the Holy Spirit to have His way.
