APRIL 2022 MONTHLY LETTER
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Can a believer walk in deception? Absolutely, the answer is yes, a believer can walk in deception. The primary reason a believer can walk in deception is because of a lack of intimacy with the Lord. When we proclaim that we have fellowship with the Lord, that fellowship produces fruit in our lives that resembles the life of Jesus. Our lives are no longer the same. We become one with Him and our lives are transformed from glory to glory.
Perhaps you may ask, what does this verse have to do with deception. Well, let me tell you.
You see, every time Jesus spoke, he was always teaching, conveying something to the people, for those who have ears to hear, hear what He is saying. Jesus was teaching so that those who hear put into practice. He was basically saying, you who do all these things in my name and do not have fellowship with me, you are not doing it for me. You see, Jesus does not only want our works, but He wants our transformation that comes from our true fellowship with Him and the Father. Some mistake operating in the gifts of the Spirit as fellowship- these are not the same.
Imagine you’re standing in the presence of the Lord, and he says to you, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness. Can you imagine that? Do you put yourself in that place?
When we as believers see the scriptures speaking to us personally, we can see things in a different way, and we will not be the same. If you stay the same it’s because you never took to heart the word that was spoken by the Lord. When we take this kind of attitude, we have fallen into deception. The word of God was left for us in order to show us the path we must follow and live by. It is not just to have mental assumption of the word, but to obey it and live by it.
These people were doing things in Jesus’ name, but their hearts were so far from Him. They practiced lawlessness because they did not live a righteous life. What they did and lived was unrighteous, according to Jesus. This is a very scary place to be.
Meanwhile, with all that is happening around the world today, we as children of God must represent Him in all we do and do His will.
The truth is the children of God are those who have separated themselves from the world system. You cannot be doing the kingdoms work and be partaking in the things of this world at the same time. What I mean is doing things that are not pleasing to the Lord. Do not be deceived! Are you His or not? Only you can answer that question, no one can answer it for you.
This is not to condemn you, but so you can awaken and turn away from whatever you have created in your own mind. Be established in the truth, do not walk in delusion, do not be deceived. Even the elect can be deceived. Matthew 24:24
Now, after all that you have read, if you come in the presence of the Lord, He will speak to you and whatever He says to you, do it, and you will step in the right path and true fellowship with Him.
I am not going to keep on, because believe me there is much to say in these lines. But one thing that I want to leave you with is to truly meditate on this. Remember, this is the Father speaking through Jesus to each one of us.
Another thing before I close this letter, let’s go to Ephesians 5:27. It says, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
The Lord is coming not for a building, or particular denomination, but for a church without spot or wrinkle. This means, for a true believer who has remained faithful to Him.
The Lord knows the hearts of those that are His, we can fool those around us with the Christian talk and activities that look like were doing good for the Kingdom, but we cannot fool Him. Remember the church in Revelation 2:4, they were doing all the good things, but the Lord rebuked them, because they left their first love. Let us not be that church, getting busy doing all kinds of activities and apparently doing all good works that we forget our fellowship with Jesus. Establish your intimacy with the Lord, and everything you do for the Kingdom, do it from the place of fellowship with Him.
There is grace available, embrace it!
