La Grange Business Association Names New Executive Director
La Grange, IL -- May 23, 2023 -- The Board of Directors of the La Grange Business Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Cathleen Domanico as the organization’s new CEO and Executive Director, beginning May 30.
"We are thrilled to welcome Cathy to this position," said Board President Stephanie Posey. “We were all very impressed by Cathy’s unique combination of high-level experience, her extensive involvement in tourism and her passion for La Grange. Her spirit, focus and strategy will be an invaluable asset that will contribute to the growth of La Grange and to our small businesses.”
Domanico, formerly of La Grange, arrives to the LGBA from Brand USA in Washington DC where she served as the VP of Global Trade Development and promoted international travel to the US. Prior to that, she was VP of Tourism and Leisure Sales with Choose Chicago where she directed efforts to drive regional, national and international travel to Chicago by promoting restaurants, theaters, nightlife and cultural attractions.
She also held management positions at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, General Growth Properties, and the Museum of Science and Industry where she led successful initiatives in consumer marketing, special events, and sponsorship.
Stepping down is Nancy Cummings who has been at the helm of the La Grange Business Association for 12 years. Under her leadership, the LGBA experienced exponential growth through its strategic initiatives, sales promotions, community and membership events and marketing campaigns. Cummings will continue to serve the LGBA as a marketing consultant.
"I’m very excited to be joining the LGBA as its new Executive Director and continuing its legacy as an advocate and a resource for local businesses," Domanico said of her appointment. "Having lived here, I feel a connection to La Grange, to the mission of the LGBA and to the small businesses that make the community so vibrant. I see enormous opportunities, and I’m eager to get started and to make an impact."
