Many of the most popular and fun festivals in Spain are held in the months of June, July, August, and September. Come see the bonfires of San Juan, a spectacle of fire, music, and color, with thousands of people welcoming the summer in Alicante; the San Fermín bull-running festival, which combines popular bull-running with a great deal of partying and fun in the streets; and La Tomatina tomato festival, where thousands of people hurl tomatoes in a fun battle on the streets of Buñol, in Valencia. Spain’s two largest Carnivals (Cadiz and Tenerife) will be celebrated in June this year due to the pandemic.
