Since the Taliban's return in August 2021, LGBTQ+ Afghans have faced unimaginable horrors—jailing, torture, and even death—under a regime that enforces ruthless persecution. In response, Rainbow World Fund has tirelessly dedicated itself to the urgent mission of securing safety for these vulnerable individuals.

Operating around the clock, RWF has not only prioritized the evacuation of LGBTQ+ Afghans but has also extended its life-saving efforts to support allies, including single Afghan women and human rights workers. In just two years, our commitment has resulted in the successful resettlement of 150 Afghans in Canada and 200 in Germany, with many more to follow.
