"Summer"

It must be summer.  School is out, it's already too hot, the insect plagues are taking over, the air is full of pollen, and the vacation grind is in full gear. In case you can't tell, or don't know me that well, I am not a fan of summer. Or put it another way, I hate it. Strong words, but I think my families, both home and work, can affirm that. I thank the Lord, the Board, and you that I have a job with air conditioning. I hope you are able to enjoy the summer, and all that it offers. If not, I hope you are somewhere cool and comfortable.
 
One thing I do like about this time of year, is that we close our fiscal year and get to start a new one. New ideas and new possibilities. We get to set new goals, celebrate achieved ones, and review the ones that didn't go the way we hoped.
 
Another thing I am excited about is all the new products and features that are being released. We are always looking for ways to make your workload lighter, while improving our current systems and creating new features to give you better access to your information.
 
The new thing I am probably the most excited about, is our new integrated payment and service portal that we will be launching very soon. The name of this system is  , which stands for Communities Integrated Through Intelligent Systems Electronically Networked. This has been on the drawing board for many, many years and it is very satisfying to see it come to life.
 
Our goal with ™ is to allow your customers to have one place they can pay any bill, to any LGC customer, anywhere, with one payment. In addition to payments, they will be able to make other requests, which along with our new Task Tracker product, can use a defined workflow to make sure the request is forwarded to the correct people in your organization, to deliver the most efficient and effective service to your citizens. It's basically a dashboard for your customers to enable them to be able to conduct business virtually. And the best thing is that it is real time with your system. Our staff has been hard at work developing this full featured system and we plan to start testing the payment portion of in July. Be on the watch for more information.

End of Life Announcement
     
 
Microsoft has set an end of life date for support of the following products:
  • SQL Server 2008 R2 (7/9/2019)
  • Windows 7 SP1 (1/14/2020)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 (1/14/2020)
Your product will continue to function after this date, but may not receive updates and features from Microsoft. LGC recommends replacing any equipment that is running one of these products before it's end of life date. Did You Know?


As you know, Bomgar was the previous privileged access management platform that was used by LGC support staff to assist customers. BeyondTrust has aquired Bomgar. Customers will continue to access the support portal in the same manner. We only wanted to make sure you are aware of the branding change.
