Protecting the Land that Protects the Lake since 1988

Expressing Gratitude

Like so many nonprofits, the LGLC's success is supported by our amazing team of volunteers. We are incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers who have helped us this year, including our passionate Board of Directors; volunteers who planned and led programs and fundraising events; field volunteers who spent countless hours tending the gardens at Peggy's Point, improving trails, and monitoring for invasive species; and all those who helped to spread the word about the work we do to protect the land that protect the lake.

In October, the LGLC hosted a Volunteer Porch Social as a small way to thank all of our volunteers. We also took the opportunity to present Sydnie Wells with our Volunteer of the Year award for her years of dedication and time spent with the Next Gen Committee and helping at our Land & Water Conservation Celebration. Her efforts as a volunteer through events and outreach in our community have been instrumental in laying a foundation for the LGLC’s Next Gen Committee. Congratulations to Sydnie, and thank you to all of our volunteers, past and present!

Thanks to generous support from people like you, the LGLC has permanently protected 238 acres of land in 2024, and an additional 430 acres are under contract and expected to be protected in the next 9 months.

Our success depends upon the kindness and passion of those who love Lake George and want it to remain clean and beautiful for future generations. If you have not yet supported the LGLC this year, please consider making a donation today to help us continue our work to permanently protect the land that protects Lake George. Thank you!
