The Lake Geneva Anthology is an opportunity for all students in grades 3 – 8 to submit a piece of work in one of the following categories: Prose, Poetry, Art, Cartoon, Expository Writing, and Illustrated Writing for possible publication. Students were asked to relate their work to this year’s theme – “The Journey”.
Entry submissions were first judged at the school level in December. Then all the entries were judged at the district level to determine the strongest pieces to submit for regional consideration. These entries were judged on clarity of message, creativity, quality, technical skill, and presentation.
The following entries were accepted and will be published in the Lake Geneva District Anthology book: Addison Lauderdale, Ainsley DeSmyter, Joey Inis, Lydia Nieman, Georgia Kenney, Leonardo Moreno, Austin Nelson, Charlee Janczak, Swan Karl, Ben Brellenthin, Will Polyock, Ellery Spiegelhoff Newlin, Brooklyn Ruvalcaba, Amelie Garland, Alessiah Miranda, Rosie Perry, Isabella Haydam, Annabelle Hoover, Finley Cooper, Corra Blinkiewicz Kramer, Logan Dammeir, Gutavo Garfias-Huerta, Evlyn Carr, Atlas Stinebrink, Lily Hubbard, Mila Brockman, and Tylie Alvarez.
At the regional level, twelve entries were selected to be published in the Southern Lakes Anthology, which is a publication created by the Southern Lakes Advanced Learners Network. Those students are: Addison Lauderdale, Lydia Nieman, Austin Nelson, Charlee Janczak, Swan Karl, Ben Brellenthin, Will Polyock, Amelie Garland, Finley Cooper, Gutavo Garfias-Huerta, Mila Brockman, and Tylie Alvarez.
An in-district reception will be held at Lake Geneva Middle School to honor students whose works were selected for publication in the district anthology in April. Additionally, a reception will be held in May at U.W.-Whitewater for students whose work will be included in the 2025-2026 Southern Lakes Anthology.
Congratulations to all of these students on this wonderful accomplishment! We are extremely proud of you and encourage you to continue to pursue your talents in the future.

Our 8th graders held an end of the semester raffle drawing to celebrate their hard work on i-Ready My Learning Path lessons. Students earn a sticker for each lesson passed; when a row is filled with stickers they receive a raffle ticket.
We drew winners for fantastic prizes generously donated by our 8th grade school families, including Bubbl'r, chips, Starbucks and Roblox gift cards, fidgets, cookies, candy and many more.
Thank you to everyone who donated — your support made this celebration special. Congratulations to all of our hardworking students!

Important:
Student Attendance Procedures
| | Students need to be to school by 7:10am and are to be in their homeroom by the time the bell rings at 7:20am. | | |
Student Attendance and Attendance Procedures
One of the biggest ways parents/guardians can help their child succeed this school year is to make sure their child gets to school, on time, each and every day. The evidence is clear: children with good attendance are more likely to be successful in school. High attendance rates are linked to high student achievement. Every day counts, and missing school even 10% of the time has a significant negative impact on reading and math achievement as children progress through school. We want to ask for parent’s/guardian’s commitment to making sure their child attends school every day possible this year.
When a child does have to be absent from school, we ask that you communicate with us about the absence BEFORE 8:00AM. When your child will be absent, you have three communication options:
Call Mrs. Kramp in the main office at 262-348-3040 to speak with her and/or leave a message.
| | |
When to Send Your Child to School or Keep Them Home?
At Lake Geneva Schools, we know that regular attendance is key to academic success! Being in class daily helps students build strong habits, stay engaged, and gain valuable social skills. However, we also want to maintain a healthy, germ-free learning environment.
Use this guide (https://bit.ly/healthyLGS) to help decide when your child should attend school or stay home to recover. If your child has a fever over 100.4°F, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours, it's best for them to rest at home. For minor symptoms like a runny nose, if there’s no fever, they’re ready for class!
When in doubt, contact the school health office, and let's work together to keep everyone healthy and learning!
| | LGMS Athletic Registration (Concussion Form) | | |
Hello LGMS Parents/Guardians!
We are very excited for this coming school year! For our athletics, we do have forms that are required for participation. We will be having parents/guardians complete the concussion/cardiac arrest agreement (waiver) through google form (linked below). This form is needed for your child to participate in ANY athletic intramural or interscholastic sport at LGMS but only needs to be filled out once per year. This form also needs to be filled out with your child. We want athletes to know and understand the signs and symptoms of a concussion or possible cardiac arrest.
All of the information needed is linked on the google form. This google form will need to be filled out prior to the first practice of the sport your student signs up for to be able to participate.
Also required is a school physical form. Please see link to the form below. This form is to be filled out by the parent and physician.

Communication Protocol
Whom do I contact with a question or suggestion?
Lake Geneva Schools’ communication protocols help promote direct, open, and respectful interactions so that we quickly and efficiently resolve problems and concerns. The communication protocol starts with the staff member closest to the situation, as that person usually has the most information. However, at times, additional personnel are required to resolve specific concerns.
