GOT GAME?
Got Game? Playing games is fun, Play with purpose.

Students participated in the LGMS Games Club playing board and strategic planning games. Advisor and School Counselor, Rob Ocker, would meet weekly to challenge the students with playing games. In an age of digital devices, playing games has a purpose. Mr. Ocker states, " playing games, socializing with out social media, learning how to be a good winner and a good loser are social and communication skills so relevant in today's society. And it is fun to hang out and socialize with games!"

Destination Imagination (DI) is a volunteer-led, educational program that teaches 21st century skills and STEM principles to K-12th graders through creative and collaborative problem solving challenges. DI is one of the many programs in our Lake Geneva Schools Gifted & Talented Education program. DI team members work together to develop a solution to one of 7 open-ended (age-appropriate) challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Through the Challenge program, students learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation, and learn skills needed to succeed in school, career and life, including teamwork, communication, project management, perseverance, creative and critical thinking, and self-confidence.

HELP FOR STUDENTS AFTER SCHOOL
Primetime is our building-wide after school student academic support program. Primetime is an opportunity for students to get extra assistance from their teachers. Students at all grade levels are assigned to stay for Primetime when they are missing 3 or more assignments or currently have an F in any class. Primetime is assigned Monday morning in homeroom when teachers go over grades with students. Students who meet the requirements are required to stay on Tuesday and Thursday until 4:15.  Our goal at LGMS is to get all students the support they need to be successful.
