Congratulations to all of the band, choir and orchestra  students who participated in solo and ensemble last weekend at LGMS. The music students represented LGMS very well!

Congratulations to the following students who have earned a trip to the state festival in May: Rebecca Clevenger (flute), Zoe Smith (flute), MJ Corey (alto sax), Cassidy Rickel (bass clarinet), Michael Polheber (xylophone), and Connor Spiewak (parade drum and xylophone).

Last week the students and staff at LGMS collected funds to help a family who recently lost their home and all belongings in a fire. Each day there was a goal of collecting $300 and each day the students and staff exceeded that goal! The overall goal was to collect $1,000 for the family.

The picture on the right reflects the total early on Friday but the donations kept rolling in!

Overall, with student, staff, family and PTO donations, $2,795.09 was collected for the family!

A special thank you to the Student Council who organized this successful event!

The sixth grade girls basketball team recently wrapped up their season with Coach McGrath and Coach Ocker. The dance team also performed during games!
Our LGMS 5-8th grade bands rock! Last Tuesday's concert was amazing. Watch it again on our  #LakeGenevaSchools YouTube channel & share with your friends & relatives.  https://youtu.be/0ni12Yefkoc
This week our LGMS 6th graders wrote letters to the 200+ senior veterans and "Rosie the Riveters" who will participate in the 2017 Vets Roll tour to Washington D.C. in May. Vets will open our letters during their "mail call" time. We are honored to support this incredible organization and the heroes who served our country (what great letter writing practice for our students, too!).

The 6th grade red and green houses will also be participating in a "Coin War" fundraiser the week of March 13-17. Our goal is to raise at least $500 to go towards sending one veteran or Rosie on this special trip of honor and remembrance.

Learn more about Vets Roll in this video, & please join us in supporting this special cause: https://youtu.be/ZKktAq2Jz6I
