As a follow up to our recent program to learn about the proposed legislation to form a new national park, the Chesapeake National Recreation area, please be advised that the comment period on this legislation has been extended until March 13, 2023 - click here for more details!

Community Events - Volunteer Opportunities

HCPSS Career Research and Development classes will participate in Passport to the Future, a county-wide event that allows students to participate in mock interviews, attend a job fair, and engage in career development workshops held at Howard Community College on March 16. The Community Foundation of Howard County has partnered with Art Connection Capital Region (ACCR) to present The Art of New Beginnings, a virtual curated exhibition. ACCR is a non-profit which facilitates the donation of original artwork to non-profits in the Baltimore/Washington area to enrich the lives of the people in the communities where the non-profits are located. The real-life artwork contained in this virtual exhibition is available to be placed permanently in the public areas of deserving non-profits. Howard County non-profits can apply to receive artwork by February 24.
