Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. This season is full of growth, new opportunities, and powerful moments of connection at LHOI.
As we continue expanding our reach and deepening our impact, we’re excited to share all that’s happening - and all that’s still to come.
| Connect. Serve. Transform. | |
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we are so grateful for the hundreds of volunteers who give their time, talent, and heart to the LHOI community. They are the bridge that connects neighbors, resources, and opportunities - making our work not just possible, but impactful and lasting. Their continued commitment is vital for advancing our outreach efforts and strengthening the connections that make our community thrive.
As our outreach continues to grow, so does the need for caring individuals to join us. Join our volunteer team and help us continue making an impact in Lincoln Heights.
Here are ways you can be a part of the GOOD:

So far in 2026, our Food Pantry has already served 5,574 people! As our number of pantry partners continues to grow (from 4 to 39 in the last year), so does the amount of food we can save from getting thrown out. Since the new year, we have diverted over 97,000 pounds of food from the landfill.
With food donated by A Child's Hope International, we are now sending 100 grocery bags to students at Lincoln Heights Elementary School to take home every week, in an effort to support the well-being of our students, in and out of the classroom
In the Clothing Closet, we have already distributed 3,489 items of clothing to 942 people.
Help us continue to provide essential clothes and hygiene items to our guests
This spring, we are focusing on collecting hygiene donations - soap, hair care, toothpaste, deodorant, baby wipes, etc. Learn more about our accepted donations.
Expanding access to better serve our community
Great news! We’re adding a new day to our Choice Food Pantry. Starting June 2, we’ll be open every other Tuesday from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. — making it easier than ever to connect with the resources you need.
