WHAT A FABULOUS FIRST WEEK WE HAD!!

Week one of our Fall 2017 Language Hangouts Program was a great success! Welcome back to our past volunteers and a huge shout out to our new ones ... you are all making such a positive impact in the lives of the Haitian students that you are meeting with in your
weekly sessions. We had FIFTEEN English speaking partners meet with a student in our first week alone (and we will keep adding new partners as we go along). We will also begin to introduce Grade Three students to our LHP in the near future!

THANK YOU for your time and dedication to helping our students in Haiti practice their English speaking skills
and for being an integral piece in achieving our mission here at Haiti Partners!

CONVERSATION SUGGESTION GUIDES

Each student is given a level for their current English speaking ability ... either a level 1, 2 or 3 with 3 being the most advanced level. Click on the links to the right to view conversation suggestions for the three levels.
In honour of Character Day last week, here is a video below
called 30,000 DAYS ... it includes some words from Alex Myril, one of our LHP Coordinators in Haiti! The video talks about developing one's character, which is a value that the students in our Adeca School and LHP are taught the importance of. Below is a link to some conversation ideas based on this video and the importance
of building one's character that you can use with your partner.
